Halloween Eve!

Hello friends

Sharing a previous Halloween card today, it appears even when
I try to go scary it comes out a little bit cute!

The papers are Tim Holtz...from many years ago,
edged with black photo corners and mounted onto kraft card.

Spellbinders dies are Wreath, Sprigs, Victorian Picket Fence
and Woodland Owl.
Amazing how different they look cut from black cardstock.

We don't tend to get many trick or treaters but just in case sweets are at the ready,
I'm sure they will not go to waste!

Are you celebrating Halloween?

Take care friends.

Not long now...

Hello friends

Halloween is on the horizon so I thought I would share a
tag that I made last year.
It features Woodland Owl.
The backing paper is Arcadia and the font is typed and printed.

Here's a closer look at him...do you like his witches hat?

It's actually from the Mushrooms die set!

I chose to tie my tag onto a jar full of chocolate pumpkins -
I've tested this chocolate and it's okay so
I don't think these are going to be around for too long!

Have a great weekend.
Take care friends - I'm back soon.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

Another festive Friday Die Day and this time it is Art Deco Trees.
A four piece die set and the approximate measurements are:

Tree 1: 2.15 x 3.40 in
Tree 2: 3.00 x 3.40 in
Star 1: 0.60 x 0.60 in
Star 2: 0.80 x 0.80 in

This is how they look cut/embossed.

For my card I've also run it through using mirror card.

My card base - snowflake paper, I believe this is My Mind's Eye -
scrap box find!

Affixed the black die cut onto ivory card (die cut A2 Matting Basics)
and began to paper piece in gold mirror card fall out pieces.

I placed in most except the tiny tiny ones...that was a little too fiddly!

The finished card with a typed and die cut sentiment.

If you like a more modern/art deco tree I think this could be the die set for you.
Art Deco Trees is available now from your Spellbinders retailer.

This weekend...crafting of course!
Wishing you all a great Saturday and Sunday.

Take care friends.

Tribal Borders

Hello friends

Today's crafty offering is a card that has just appeared on the Spellbinders
blog here.
It features Wild and Free - Tribal Borders -
a very distinctive die set designed by Debi Adams.

I've chosen to slice the border vertically and insert patterned paper,
a technique I've really taken to! :)

Feel free to pop over to the Spellbinders blog for the full tutorial.

Take care friends and please stop by tomorrow for FDD.

Do you have the Winning Ticket ...?

Hello friends

I'm on the ball this month!
Today announcing October's Charity Kit winning ticket.
This kit featured one of the new Christmas Spellbinders dies - Fancy Tree.
Lots of enquiries regarding the mini poinsettia - that can be found
in the 5 x 7 Holly Frame die set.

Again all the kits sold out fast - very grateful to those who purchased.
I do have to give my Mum a mention here - she does the bulk
of all the die cutting for the kits, my Dad sometimes lends a hand too -
it's a real family affair :)

Without further ado...here's the winning ticket.

If you are the winner please email me at

creativity-continues@outlook.com

Please include your address details and a goodie bag will be
dashed out to you!

Take care friends.

Geo Flower and Chocolate Demise!

Hello friends

Today another Geo die sample and this is Geo Flower.
It has created a frame for one of my favourite flower dies - Blooms One.

My sentiment has been typed and then die cut with one of the
rectangular dies that comes with A2 Cutting Basics - so handy!

These Geo dies are currently available from Create and Craft
and later in the year from your Spellbinders retailer.

I'm back in my cabin today mourning my chocolate situation!
If you follow me on Facebook you'll know that I have had to give up
Cadbury - since they changed the recipe it doesn't taste very nice at all!
They will certainly feel a dent in their profits as I had a permanent supply
of Buttons along with Flake and Dairy Milk.
This was Mother's Day haul this year...boys will not know what to buy now!

I've thankfully received some suggestions for alternatives so I'm
prepared to give them a go...tough job but I'm up for it! ;)

Take care friends and hope your week is going well.

Trapezoid or Trellis?

Hello friends

Today's card is using one of the Spellbinders Geo dies -
Trapezoid Motif.
I like this design, it certainly said 'garden trellis' to me.

I created a square aperture in my card front.
Die cut Sprigs and threaded it through various parts of the Trapezoid die cut.
Added in some bright flowers and gemstones.

Inside the card die cut a square of white card to create the backing.
Stamped and die cut sentiment to finish.

Geo dies are currently available on the Create and Craft website.

How is your weekend going?
I will be travelling back from demoing in Nottingham today,
I can't see my decorating getting done for another week,
oh well, crafting is more important!

Take care friends.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

I cannot hold off much longer...definitely going festive!
This week's FDD is Holly Berry Wreath.
An 8 piece die set.
The approximate measurements are:
Wreath: 4.30 x 4.50 in
Pinecones: 0.60 x 0.70 in
Pine Branches: 0.90 x 0.60 in
Berries: 0.35 x 0.35 in
Holly: 0.30 x 0.60 in

This is how it looks cut/embossed.

Definitely a die set that is asking to be stencilled/inked.
I cut/embossed the wreath with pale green card and inked through with
Bundled Sage Distress Ink.

Tipped the edges with some brown and die cut the pine cones, foliage and berries.

My card inspiration is straight from Spellbinders packaging - always a
good place to look!
Card front is black and I want to create an aperture with the wreath die.
Placed the wreath die inside a 6 x 6 Matting Basics die.
Once cut - place to one side.

Next - mount onto a black card base stamped grey square -
the 'Just For You' is a stamp from Dreamees.

Returning to the card front with aperture insert die cut wreath inside, secure at back
and then mount onto card front with foam tape.

Add in further die cut elements.
I chose to offset them a little to see a sort of shadow behind.

Optional: use a white gel pen to create dots around the wreath.
I got carried away with this step!

Finished card.

Holly Berry Wreath is available to purchase from your Spellbinders retailer now.
I think this will be a popular one.

Wishing you all a great weekend, I will be at PDA Card and Craft in
Nottingham, it is a Spellbinders Demo Day so if you live that way
please pop in and say hello - nattering begins at 10am.

Take care friends.

Floral Tag with Girlie Grunge Tissue Tape

Hello friends

Today a floral tag...let's ignore that colder weather!
This project has just appeared on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog
so for the full tutorial please click here.
I love the tissue tape design here, the little birds and flowers are adorable.

I'm back home and attempting to get through all my paperwork today,
where does it all come from!?

Take care friends and wishing you a great Wednesday.

Spellbinders Tri Hex

Hello friends

Today featuring one of my telly demos using Tri Hex -
one of the Geo dies from Spellbinders
(these are currently available from Create and Craft, later in the year from retailers).
To create this design I used the outer die as my guide/mask,
reinserted the fallout pieces and then removed the outer die cut shape.
You could adopt this technique with quite a lot of dies.

I can't resist adding a little flower and leaf to most of my cards!
The sentiment is stamped and die cut.

Travelling back home today from Create and Craft to work on some
more craft projects - that decorating is going to have to wait a little longer!

Take care friends.

Off to Tellyland again and Winner!

Hello friends

I'm off to tellyland again.
This evening I will be on Create and Craft, two shows 5pm and 9pm
featuring the Spellbinders 3D stamps.

Really enjoying the chance to do some colouring even though
I'm a complete novice.

The majority of stamps are Christmas and I think I'm beginning to feel
quite festive now.  Done a few trips to garden centres recently and
the array of Christmas goodies is gorgeous.

In case you are feeling festive ...yesterday I announced this month's
charity kit and it features a crisp silver and white Christmas card -
Fancy Tree is the Spellbinders die.
All the details are here.

Now a confession...!
I hadn't got around to announcing the winner of September's
Charity Kit, I had a post drafted and was waiting on picking out a ticket
only to realise I cannot find the winning raffle ticket - turned the cabin upside down.
So slightly deviating from the normal I've gone back to see who had purchased
wrote down the names and got Elliott to pick out a winner and it is...

To save you all twisting your neck/head it is... :)

Christine Collins

Congratulations Christine and please email me at
creativity-continues@outlook.com
with your address details and your pack of goodies will be on their way to you.

Take care friends and I hope you can tune in to the shows.
